Lead EMC Engineer IV

Job Description :

As an Electromagnetic Compatibility Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the EMI/EMC program on flight projects including generating EMC design requirements, verifying by tests that all flight hardware meets project EMC requirements, verifying that the flight system is fully self-compatible and that all flight hardware is compatible with all launch site, launch vehicle and on-orbit RF frequencies. You will also document test plans and test reports and track the status of EMC testing via a matrix showing assemblies that are proven to be compatible with each other, and assemblies that have known or potential incompatibility issues with other assemblies. You will also lead an EMC working group to identify and address project-specific EMC risks in a timely manner; spacecraft level EMC testing and perform or review analyses for spacecraft EMC compatibility as needed; and develop engineering trade studies on EMC issues of high significant impact. Finally, you will develop advanced and unique modeling approaches that are considered state-of-the-art for use by EMC specialists; contract technical documentation related to EMC requirements and prepare and approve requirements documents, verification and validation (V&V) plans and risk mitigation plans that have high significant impact to the organization.
